Drop-in family poetry workshop with Poet Laureate Charlotte Oliver
Drop in to Withernsea Library this Halloween for a fun family writing workshop with East Riding's Poet Laureate, Charlotte Oliver, where we will be conjuring spell poems to transform into our favourite creatures. Most suitable for ages 4-11, but all welcome!
Spell For Becoming A Cat
Into a giant cauldron, stir
chopped carrot for my amber fur,
a spring to make my slinky coiling,
for my hiss, a kettle boiling,
for my whiskers, paintbrush bristles,
for my tongue, some scratchy thistles,
ham to make my little nose,
baked beans to make my beany toes.
