Being online has become an essential part of everyday life, allowing us to stay connected with loved ones, browse the Internet, shop, manage our health, and do our banking.
East Riding Libraries want to share our digital knowledge to help residents learn, grow and discover digitally. Whether you're a complete novice and want to start with the basics, can do a little but want to know more, or just need a bit of help now and then, we’re here to support you.
If you would like some help getting started or at any point in your digital journey, join us on one of our digital drop-in sessions, or use our online tool East Riding Progress Online to get recommendations on the best help for you. Or try any of these free online resources to learn about getting and being online with a whole range of digital skills.

Need to get online but don’t have a computer or internet at home? We’re here to help! All our branch libraries have computers that you can use, completely free of charge. You just need to sign in with your library card.
Under 16s can use computers with parent or carer permission.
No card? No problem: you can join East Riding Libraries for free or sign in as a guest and read the acceptable use policy every time you visit. Under 16s can use computers and hublets with parent or carer’s permission.
You can also access one of our Hublets – a self-service, loanable tablet that allows you to access eBooks, magazines, movies, menus and more, from the comfort of your local library.
We also have free public Wi-Fi, so you can bring along your own computers, tablets, and smartphones to use too!
We have a variety of digital events and activities that take place in libraries and online. These can range from our regular Digital Drop In sessions to one-off activities during Get Online Week.
