British Newspaper Archive

The British Newspaper Archive is a partnership between the British Library and Findmypast to digitise the British Library's vast collection of newspapers. The British Newspaper Archive contains around three million pages of newspaper content and you can search hundreds of millions of articles by keyword, name, location, date or title. Access to the British Newspaper Archive is free only at the East Riding Archives, Treasure House and any East Riding Library. You will need to register on The British Newspaper Archive to obtain this free access.

Encyclopedia Britannica Junior

For 5 - 11 year olds. The Britannica Junior website is part of Encyclopaedia Britannica Library Edition, which offers content at three different levels. Britannica Junior is designed for primary school students aged 5 - 11.

For students aged 12-18 the Britannica Student website is part of Encyclopaedia Britannica Online Library Edition, which offers content at three different levels. Britannica Student is designed for middle/secondary school students aged 12 - 18.

The Encyclopaedia Britannica Library Edition website brings together the world-renowned content of the encyclopedia, with the speed and convenience of the Internet.

Cobra

COBRA is a unique directory of business information, providing guides on setting up a specific business (e.g. a Hairdressers or IT Consultant) and guides on the practical aspects of setting up (e.g. choosing a business structure). It also offers synopses and local area profiles. Up to 10 reports per week.
