Before you start

To set up your device to borrow eMagazines you will need:

  • A library membership You need to be a member of East Riding Libraries and have an online account. Find out how to join on the Memberships page.

  • The free Libby app This is available on Apple app store and Google Play devices. Libby is also available on your desktop or using the browser on your Amazon Kindle Fire at

Borrow eNewspapers

Step 1
Log in to the app or website
Step 2
Click the library card or shelf symbol
Step 3
Click 'Extras' then click 'PressReader'
Step 4
Select the Country, Language and any other settings of your choice and start reading.

How many eNewspapers can I have?

You can read over 160 UK newspapers, over 2,300 from other countries and in 60 different languages. Plus 100s of previous issues. In the settings you can set each newspaper as a favourite 'My Publication' to get the newspaper delivered automatically to your device every day it is published. Remember there is free public Wi-Fi at all of our branch libraries to download your eNewspapers.

You can download eAudiobooks and eMagazines using the same account on the same platform.
