Local studies

The local studies library is housed on the first floor. It holds an extensive range of local and family history materials. All East Riding Libraries are part of the Online Centres Network. You can access free, self-paced IT courses with Learn My Way and 400+ free Technology Guides from Digital Unite on our computers. You have access to the following at this library. Charges only apply for printing and photocopying. (See our Fees and Charges):

East Riding Libraries are part of the refill network for free water. Just ask any member of staff to fill your water bottle for you.

East Riding Libraries are offering warm welcoming places, with comfy seating, books, games and jigsaws.

Public transport

Bridlington Bus Station is a five minute walk away, the train station is a 10 minute walk away.

Parking

There are six short stay parking bays behind the library on Queen Street, plus two disabled parking bays. Long and short stay public car parking is available at the nearby harbour.

Location accessibility

The library main entrance is at street level, with automatic doors, leading to the lending and junior library. The IT suite, Local Studies Library and public toilets, including a wheelchair accessible toilet are all situated on the first floor, which can be accessed by lift or stairs. People with mobility problems can be dropped off and collected from the library entrance on King Street except on Wednesdays and Saturdays when access is restricted because of markets and on other days when events are being held.

Only assistance dogs are allowed on site.

There is an area where up to 6 single buggies and up to 4 mobility scooters or 4 wheelchairs, can be stored while you visit the library. There is no need to pre-book these spaces if attending an event at the library.
