Staff Training Closure

This venue will be closed for 3 hours each month for staff training. The scheduled training days are as follows:

• Tue, 19 Dec from 12:30pm - 3:30pm
• Tue, 23 Jan from 12:30pm - 3:30pm
• Tue, 20 Feb from 12:30pm - 3:30pm
• Tue, 19 Mar from 12:30pm - 3:30pm

Library Now

Enjoy the freedom to borrow and return books, use our free Wi-Fi and public access computers, and enjoy a quiet space, even when the library closes. There is no need to sign up - Library Now is already included in your membership if you are age 16 or over. Your library, out of hours: Library Now. Please check the opening times for availability.

To access Library Now, all you need is your library card and unique PIN. Simply scan your card, enter your unique PIN code, and enter the library.

All East Riding Libraries are free to join. As a member you’ll get access to thousands of titles, including free eAudiobooks, eBooks, eComics, eMagazines, and eNewspapers to download anywhere, anytime. Browse all books available to borrow on the library catalogue. Use your library card number and pin to log in to your account to renew your loans online or reserve books to pick up at this branch.

Stay hydrated

East Riding Libraries are part of the refill network for free water. Just ask any member of staff to fill your water bottle for you.

Get online at Hornsea Library

All East Riding Libraries are part of the Online Centres Network. You can access free, self-paced IT courses with Learn My Way and 400+ free Technology Guides from Digital Unite on our computers. You have access to the following at this library. Charges only apply for printing and photocopying. (See our Fees and Charges):

• Six computers for public use
• Adjustable height desk for wheelchair users
• Accessibility software: Microsoft magnifier, narrator and on-screen keyboard
• Free Wi-Fi, internet and email access
• Google docs, sheets and slides software
• Colour and black and white A4 printing. Use Click Print Go from home (charges apply)
• A4 scanner

Free parking for visitors to the Library & Customer Service Centre of up to 1 hour at the Hornsea Hub and Broadway car parks - vehicle registration must be logged on a tablet at the main Hornsea Hub reception desk. Long stay parking options are also available - charges apply. Disabled spaces are available.

Level entrance, automatic doors, hearing loops, wheelchair accessible toilet.

Only assistance dogs are allowed on site.

Disabled toilets and adult changing facilities (with electric hoist) are also available on site.

There is an area where up to 6 single buggies or up to 2 mobility scooters can be stored while you visit the library. There is no need to pre-book these spaces if attending an event at the library.

Hornsea Hub is on the 550 bus route and stops at Marine Drive and New Road. Both stops are 5 minutes walk to Hornsea Hub.
